My work explores the essence of creation, beyond human perception and preconceived interpretations. Rather than imagining the act of creation through sensory experience or cultural background, I strive to visualise creation itself—in its most fundamental and pure form.
Inspired by Genesis, I focus on the concepts of “separation in creation” and “creation through separation.” My work deconstructs the human tendency to define creation through familiar frameworks, seeking instead to capture its underlying structure. By removing subjective interpretation, I aim to reveal the inherent logic and order within creation itself.
For me, art is not about providing answers but about inviting new ways of seeing. I embrace the emotions, thoughts, and perspectives my work evokes in viewers. The more diverse these responses, the closer I believe I am to uncovering the essence of creation.
Ultimately, my work poses fundamental questions:
What is creation? How do we experience it beyond human perception?
Through engaging with these ideas, I hope to offer a space for contemplation—where creation is not merely imagined, but felt in its raw, unfiltered state.

I was born in South Korea and am currently based in Paris, France, where I work as both an architect and a painter. My background in architecture has provided me with the opportunity to explore the subtle differences in light and materials, which has significantly influenced the refinement of my visual and spatial perception.
However, ironically, within my artistic practice, I developed a desire to strip away these very sensory experiences. The senses I had cultivated over years of architectural practice began to feel like impediments within the realm of art.
This paradox has become a driving force behind my artistic journey. The collision and blending arising from the tension between opposing forces steer the direction of my work in ways I, too, cannot fully predict.
